Dr. Megan Maguire, PsyD.

Head shot

Dr. Megan Maguire is a licensed clinical neuropsychologist (PSY 36284) specializing in the evaluation and treatment of adolescents, adults, and older adults (i.e., geriatric population) with neurocognitive and emotional difficulties.

The framework for her practice is to redefine brain health as an active, lifelong process. By combining scientific rigor with personalized assessment and therapy, the practice delivers evidence-based neuropsychological and therapeutic care designed not only to clarify cognitive and emotional concerns, but also to guide targeted interventions that actively strengthen brain function and support sustainable mental fitness, ultimately optimizing overall well-being.

Dr. Maguire has advanced training in both evidence-based psychotherapy and clinical neuropsychology, with a deliberate emphasis on integrating these disciplines to develop a comprehensive understanding of brain–behavior relationships. Her neuropsychological expertise includes healthy brain aging, traumatic brain injury, memory disorders, neurodegenerative conditions (e.g., Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia), post-stroke recovery, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, ADHD, chronic pain, and functional neurological disorders (e.g., PNES).

Her clinical work focuses on the treatment of cognitive disorders, anxiety disorders, emotional eating, and trauma-related conditions. Dr. Maguire has extensive experience working with individuals who present with medically and psychiatrically complex conditions. Additionally, as an extension of her work helping individuals with chronic pain and emotional eating difficulties, Dr. Maguire also conducts pre-surgical clearance evaluations for bariatric and spinal/peripheral nerve stimulator surgical candidates.
